Will it wind my child up before bed?
It is built not to. Nothing starts on its own, one wind lasts about half a minute and then stops by itself, the screen never gets brighter than the room, and nothing opens up by staying longer. What low stimulation means here, decision by decision.
How do I wind it?
Put a finger on the brass key and turn it clockwise. It clicks every notch and gets firmer as the spring tightens. Let go and it plays.
How do I stop it?
Pull the small brass lever on the right side of the base. It coasts for a moment and rests.
How do I open the parent settings?
Tap Parents in the top right, then press and hold for a second and a half, until the bar fills. If holding is difficult, tap “Enter your year of birth instead”.
Where are my packs after a new phone?
Open Parents, scroll down and tap Restore purchases. Apple checks your Apple ID and returns them. Family Sharing works if purchases are shared in your family group.
Can the music keep going for 30 minutes?
Yes. In Parents, under Bedtime, tap 15, 30 or 45 min, or All night. It plays slowly without winding and fades the screen down.
What if the key is hard for small hands?
In Parents, under Comfort, turn on Big key. The touch area grows; the art stays the same.
Does it work with the Silent switch?
By default it plays like Music does. In Parents, under Comfort, turn on Obey Silent switch if you want the switch to mean quiet.
Can I use it with VoiceOver or Switch Control?
Yes. The key, lever and roof knob are all reachable, and the whole parent sheet is labeled. See the Accessibility page.
How much does it cost?
Hele is free to try: five riders, six tunes, Sleep mode, the bedside clock and the lamp, with no time limit. The Carousel Collection, every rider and tune pack now and every new carousel pack when it arrives, is US$9.99 in the US; single packs are US$1.99 each. Both are bought once and shared with Family Sharing, and the App Store shows your own currency. There are no ads and no subscription.
I bought Hele before it was free. Do I pay again?
No. If you got Hele before version 2.0 (29 September 2026), the Carousel Collection is already yours: every rider and tune pack, and every new carousel pack when it arrives. There is nothing to do. Update to 2.0 and open Parents, then Packs, to see it. If it does not show, tap Restore purchases there, or write to hello@hele.toys.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
Hele plays with no Wi-Fi or mobile data. Download it once and it plays anywhere: on a plane, in the car, at the grandparents’. Only buying or restoring a pack goes online, to Apple.
What if something is wrong with a purchase?
Nothing is charged unless Apple confirms. Try Restore purchases first. If a charge appears without the pack, write to us with the pack name; we will help with Apple.
